BONUS: Bloom Recap 2025

Dear Farm Community -

A little walk down memory lane for our 2025 flower season ~ full of growth, color, and the usual healthy dose of chaos. Our flower crew of Alex, Bekah, Casey, Jackie, Carolyn, Phelan, and Sarah, worked through the insane springtime hustle, powered through the hot hot summertime harvests, and into the cool relaxed fall days, balancing harvesting, crop management, quality control, design, and the occasional existential flower crisis. This year brought some major milestones: our first substantial harvest of peonies (yippee!) and a record-setting amount of ranunculus. Zinnias continued their reign as reliable all-stars, marigolds outlasted us all into the fall, and our campanula was absolutely gorgeous and bursting….. sooooo many blooms!! We also celebrated our first big year for heirloom chrysanthemums, and we’re propagating cuttings to make next year even bigger. A huge shoutout to Three Porch Farm for sending us beautiful chrysanthemum seedlings and even a few extras of their favorites! Not everything went perfectly as you can imagine. Our sunflowers struggled thanks to persistent crows poaching the seeds out of the ground, our lavender planting mysteriously died, and our lisianthus decided not to produce at all. Despite improvement over last year, our dahlias still suffered from unpredictable weather. Despite it all, 2025 was still our biggest year for flowers yet! We’re regrouping, planting new lavender, cataloging our tubers, cleaning up our perennial beds, and already stepping into a stronger 2026 - we’ve already got some spring blooms, folks!

The flower crew powered through it all with a seltzer habit and a low-key emotional reliance on 2:00pm Diet Cokes. The farm landscape is evolving, and we’re excited to continue experimenting with new varieties and perennials. All in all, 2025 was a season of serious hustle, dreamy blooms, unhinged laughter, and lots of little treats. We can’t wait to see what the next year has in store!

We are so proud of the many beautiful varieties we grew in 2025 and are excited to share our Bloom Recap with you - a calendar of our flowers throughout the year! While growing seasons and flower availability can vary slightly each year, this guide offers a great reference for what to expect and when in years ahead (but expect some newcomers too!) A photo library with the varieties listed can also be found at the bottom of this post.

We hope you're already dreaming of all the blooms 2026 will bring! Read to the end to learn about our Flower CSA, an opportunity to deepen your connection to our farm and have a steady and affordable stream of incredible flowers in your life ❀♥❀
